Bonus points if he wears long sleeves and a hat.

Why the hate for long sleeves?

Short sleeve + tie = nerd. The kind of guy/gal with a pocket protector.

Look at executives. Do you see CEOs et. al. with short sleeve and tie combo?

Every time I switch to my summer uniform (no jacket / short sleeve), I throw up in my mouth.

"I posted about a Mesa date about a month ago. Just got back on to read some of this. I have been a pilot going on 25 years. Going on 46 years old now. Been a Corp pilot for all of the ride. Are you who post here pilots or what? I have never seen anything like this. Very Unprofessional. Sound like a bunch of kids."

I agree on many things I've read on here as well.

I've been following posts on here for a while now, but finally got an account set up. Most of what is posted on here people wouldn't be so verbal to state in the open - I don't think. The screen names hide people so few if any know who the poster is. We walk past each other in the terminal and don't even know it. Most would probably seem professional in person.

It's a place to vent. The problem is if the media were to dwell on what is said on here it would stereo type us all to be unprofessional.

My 2 cents on the issue.

CEO's have central air.

I'm 100% nerd according to your definition

News flash!! Nerd is so in right now. Look at the glee and Big Bang theory effect on our younger generation.

I'm going to let you in on a secret: we're not executives.

Trippe fashioned his entire airline by looking no further than ocean liners which were widely regarded as the most prestigious way to travel at the time. The uniform, as we know it today, had absolutely nothing to do with executives.
