Are you who post here pilots or what? I have never seen anything like this. Very Unprofessional. Sound like a bunch of kids.

I can't get over how incoherently written your paragraph is.

Please don't bring that attitude into the right seat. Also leave your cool "one time I was flying corporate" stories at home.

I'm going to let you in on a secret: we're not executives.

Trippe fashioned his entire airline by looking no further than ocean liners which were widely regarded as the most prestigious way to travel at the time. The uniform, as we know it today, had absolutely nothing to do with executives.

Look no further than the secret in finding the answer to our pay.

I'm nearly that old and have been in the regionals almost 10 years. This is a second career for me, and I am likely to start a third, as the regional business is fouled up beyond recognition. I've never been in such a mismanaged model that seems to go out of its way to waste money AND destroy employee morale. This is what you are reading.
Glad your corporate job is terrific, though.

Why the hate for long sleeves?

Short sleeve + tie = nerd. The kind of guy/gal with a pocket protector.

Look at executives. Do you see CEOs et. al. with short sleeve and tie combo?

Every time I switch to my summer uniform (no jacket / short sleeve), I throw up in my mouth.

We're not executives and they're not pilots.

Actually, it IS coherently written, and is perfectly understandable. But, your insult is noted (and illustrates his observation quite well).

Yep, another "holier than thou" attitude. Once again, perfectly illustrating his observation.

There is a certain arrogance - an undeserved know-it-all attitude here - that's illustrative of this forum. It's sad, and you guys don't even get it.

It's so hard nowadays, with all the gangs and rap music, and what about robots!?

To OP....

Congratulations on deciding to go the airline route. With your experience you'll likely do well in training, get some hours and an established pt 121 work history, and move on to something bigger and better paying within a year if that's your goal.

Or you can take your type rating and sell it in China or Japan for about ten times the salary and long scheduled vacations.

Don't worry about what the "kids" say, they probably couldn't pass the checkride and written over there anyway.

Bonus points if he wears long sleeves and a hat.

Some of us got tattoos as youngsters which makes long sleeves a requirement...which sucks if like me, you live in Texas:(
