All he said (and it was complimentary) is that the Comair pilots fought hard for a good industry leading contract they could be proud of, and now DAL is taking it out on them (A fact). Why jump all over him for that? It's true what he said. I hope the best for the Comair pilots, and hope Skywest and ASA can lift the bar even higher (Skywest will need to get past their lack of a union first).

I appreciate your kind words, some people just will never get it. All the best to those poor guys/gals at Comair.

Like I said before and I am not going into a ****ing match with anyone who is not here, no one here is asking anyone for sympathy,, yea we have set the standard in the industry and things are uncertain at times but I think thats at every airline, Things are not Stagnant as you would think, what you hear in the rumor mill and see on most of thease forums are not entirely true, we still have FOs upgrading in 3 years or so, some senior FOs decide not to upgrade for what ever reason, as far as I know we are hiring , you say its ashamed what has happened to Comair,, well explain to me exactly just what has happened here.....

dude, get off your highhorse!

When Gemini got a crappy contract last year due to our BK, and the pressures by non-union ACMI's we got a lot of "Sympathy" from others, and we deserved it.. We had our back to the wall, and we got a less than desirable contract for 3 more years.

Sympathy is not a bad thing, and we pilots need more (not less) of it for/from other pilot groups. It shows a lack of selfishness, a problem that plagues too many pilots and pilot groups; UNITY is important. ....and FYI.. what happens at Comair effects a lot more than just Comair pilots.. the industry and the contract negotiation process is tied into the RLA, and the mediation process is like selling a house and the realtors look up "Comps" ... when a company takes a hit (as Comair may have to, we hope not!) this effects everyone from the guys at Gulfstream to Fedex and UPS..

Think about it.. and stop being so proud. We're all in this together.

Sure, your fleet has been reduced for starters, before you go off comparing it to XJT, our fleet is not reducing. Your pilots have been punished by delta for sticking to your guns, thus awarding your flying, your expansion, and your aircraft (700's) to Skywest, who will happily fly them for a buck more an hour. I had a conversation with one of your senior captains and f/o's out of JFK, and they both told me that upgrade is looking more like 5 years. Whether true or not, it is a shame what happened to your company. I know you're probably one of the few with this sh!tty attituted, so I won't let it affect the way I feel about the pilot group as a whole.

As mentioned above, we're in this together, and when you guys get forced to accept paycuts, it continues to lower the bar. Anything else?

A little bit of humble attitude could do you a lot of good, hence keeping everyone from thinking you're a 20 year old erau grad, that has never had a real job in his life.

For the SECOND or third time the 700 were part of the deal when delta sold ASA to Skywest it was going to happen with or without concessions.. and by the way No matter what we do Delta has already decided who gets the RFP as far as pay cuts and all its not about keeping work or the pilot group happy, we are poised to make a profit yet take a pay cut,. Will you tell your company that you are not going to fly a Comair Route when or if we were to go on strike, Talk is Cheap till you have to pay the bills and till I see the industry pilots unite their will always be the race to the Bottom.. I stand my Ground and say Show me the money back up your words with action when and if we call on you.. its one thing to post here on thease boards but another thing when its your Job and Livelyhood on the line... so dont feel sorry for support me with your actions when alpa calls

Picketted twice with two other carriers. I'll stand next to you with a sign. What have you done lately? With all due respect you need to redirect your anger to the ones doing this to you, not the ones supporting you and trying to help you out.

I've said before and I'll say it again, I would much rather us fly under our own banner or under F9 name, than fly under the delta connection banner since more than likely it will be comair's routes.

That's all I've got for you boss, best of luck to you and the rest of our brothers and sisters at comair.
