Skyway January Class Postponed?
#2
Why are you interested in Skyway? Is it their location? Why not AWAC or SKW? They are located in that area. Now that SKW won the Midwest flying, it's only a matter of time until they open up MKE, it will go JR. You can do better than Skyway!

I understand that SKW closest domicile is ORD but it's a matter of time until MKE opens. There is already a lot of talk that it will be open by they end of the summer. With AWAC and SKW you'd get better QOL, pay and a bit more job security.

Im not sure how you can say Skyway and AWAC are in the same location. Sure, AWAC still has their corporate HQ in Appleton but their crew bases are ORF, DCA and PHL. Just because "Wisconsin" is in the name doesn't mean you'll be flying there any time soon.

I didn't say "Same Location." I said "Same Area," there is a difference. By that I mean Mid-North to Northeast. You know, like a Area Map or Area Forcast.

I understand everyone's thoughts and concerns on Skyway, but this is what works best for me- QOL, no commuting, sitting reserve, etc. And FWIW, the few guys I've talked with at SKW believe that a base in MKE would go VERY senior.

I find it very hard to believe MKE would go senior. Almost everyone in this company still wants to be out west, and the ones that don't are settled in Chicago, or are junior pilots anyway. When Milwaukee opens, there's going to be (eventually if all 25 planes arrive) 125 upgrades, and 125 f/o's based there. A new base, that is that big, will go junior.
