A new hire at Mesa can hold Phx right out of training.

And nobody knows how exactly the dice will fall post merger when it comes to hubs.
That is pure wild card action.

AA has a five-year commitment to keeping a Phoenix hub, I think. Mesa's the obvious contractor there.

Que? You can be bro'in it up in DEN within a few months at SKW, and you wont have the GoJet stain on the resume. Sounds pretty sikk to me.

These are all reasonable, educated predictions. Just like...

However, pilots displaced from ORD and going to PHX instead will have an adverse effect on junior pilots trying for Phoenix.

Mesa has Phoenix, and it'll be expanding its operations there. It's currently the most senior base, but that could be changing - or at least becoming easier to hold - following additional US/AmericanUAL flying. Estimates to hold Phoenix range from a few months to a year. Some people have suggested it could be right out of IOE by the end of the year.

Where did you get your crystal ball?
Me, 8 hours later:
I'll just mention it because it's relevant. New base awards were announced today at Mesa; some guys were awarded Phoenix after just three months.
So your condescension is unneeded. Thanks.

Hold off on DJ until he gets 6months on the line! As a new hire it's nothin but good news and the company can do no wrong! We've all had that stage I think...
