So the pay is bad, Isn't this regional job a stepping stone?
If I were looking for a regional job. I would be happy to work for 9E if my goal was to get to a major. I have heard Delta seems committed to making 9e successful. So is it all about the reduction of airplanes? Are your schedules bad too? What is the deal. Sick of all the negativity
Put your money where your mouth is....I dare you to apply to 9E and watch the magic happen. You will be ready to jump off the ledge of the Endeavor Building within a month of working there. You're either a mainline guy who went directly to Delta via the military (not all mainline guys are clueless...but it always amazes me to have a Delta jumpseater who gets in the cockpit and says "So...you're Compass? I'm not sure I've ever heard of you") or you aren't involved in aviation at all. You can't make this stuff up...holy crap.

Rumor is that Delta was hiring a PR firm to improve the image of 9E on pilot message boards. I'm guessing this is just the start.

Here's one of Bob's other posts about working at a Major:

Pay, layovers in cool cities, diversity of flying, better standing on the non-rev list, retirement, working for a company that owns its own destiny... The list could go on and on. I am flying places now that I never thought I would go. It is awesome and I hope my many regional friends will get to experience the same joy I have found from this job. Plus I don't have to be embarrassed anymore when someone asks me where I work with a drawn out explanation of what a delta connection or united express is
