That is absolutely not true. There's plenty to complain about the iOS subscription, but you can't just make up more to support your argument. You yourself posted the email from Coradine...

From all the misinformation in this thread, I thought the same thing about the Mac version. But when I couldn't find any way to subscribe in the Mac program, I dug a little deeper. The email confirmed what I finally figured out, there is no subscription for the Mac version. I currently have 50+ hours logged in it (in addition to the thousands of hours brought in from version 6), and imported my Nov schedule for much more. The subscription only applies to the iOS version, to include mobile logging and the sync function.

 

That's what I got from the plethora of info in this thread. The Mac version is completely free with no restrictions. For those, like myself, who don't need to log every leg as soon as I finish flying it, in my phone, I don't see a problem. Just write it in the red books and update it in a week or two.

 

Its not a problem but they're basically screwing us professionals over.

They sent out an email standing behind their yearly subscription. Thank god I bought it for Macbook only and don't need to pay this stupid fee yearly.

 

That's funny, I thought that 69.99 was too much for the subscription to everything. Since it's only to the iOS app now it's extremely overpriced. Even the 30$ a year that I might have been wiling to pay for the solution no longer seams like a good price for the iOS only app.

 

I just heard about this new service Logbookwiz--they take copies of your logbook and convert it to an excel file for you within a week. Anybody have any experience with these guys? Sounds pretty innovative....

Better but just make the subscription $34.99/yr and call it a day. Thats much easier to swallow.

Corradine Logten x pro whatever is a ripoff, pilots should avoid this digital logbook at all costs.

The last thing aviation needs is another slime bag outfit stealing from pilots.
