Sounds like trickery just to attract new FO's.

That's news too me. If so great, but I wouldn't be expecting it right out of the gate. You can't be hired straight up as a CQFO. You can and are hired as a FO, and then will be made a CQFO as it's needed. I had a friend that interviewed with the qualifications and was not told that. He was also hired, and will be a CQFO as we need them. We haven't even started upgrading our own qualified guys yet let alone CQFOs.

So any word yet on the AA base?

Nothing yet. The hot rumors or DFW or a IAD/DCA Co-base. I could also see them maybe being added into ORD.

If they get DFW, I wonder if the new hires will have any potential to bid there.

It will be a free for all wherever it is. With the upgrades, transfers, and bases growing new hires will end up everywhere. A new base really would throw a wrinkle into it, but as of now the preliminary guesses are IAD and DEN will be junior.

Pardon my lack of research but is any AA flying with 145's done out of Miami right now? With only 15 airplanes as of now planned on AA stuff, hard to say where the base shuffle and flying will be.

Mia might happen. Envoy is winding down in mia in April, that's when the first planes come to TSA.

Republic is flying AA 175s out of Miami. Highly doubt they'll place 145s there looking at the routes flown.
