Default ERAU Survey

I just got a postcard in the mail from ERAU asking me to take a survey. This probably was something that came out of the summit, but I thought I would make a new thread so that it wouldn't get lost in the discussion. The questions mostly deal with FO pay and lifestyle.

check it out at surveymonkey.com/s/airlinepilot

It doesn't seem to ask much of people already at the regional level.

I wonder what the point is. Seems like a survey about the desirability (or not) of first year pay. To me, the better question should be about SECOND year pay.

Or, assuming first year pay was increased, that the whole pay scale would shift upwards by the same degree.

Coming from Embry Riddle, they probably don't care much about what current regional pilots think. They just want to know how to attract new students to the pipeline.

Basically trying to figure our and help companies get the lowest pay rate to attract people from other jobs. Hire a statistician (or message board jack of all trades) and they can find out what to set new pay rates (via bonuses) at to bring in the right number of people without overpaying us. They basically are asking, in $5,000 increments, what is the lowest you would accept to work as a regional pilot.

Sorry, not playing.

Edit: on second thought, I will play...I refuse to work for less than $60,000 (I think question 17?)
