I always dread the idea of going to a place like NYC if I get on with an airline where that's the junior base. The traffic, the congestion, the absurd cost of living. I imagine just getting to the airport can be a nightmare. I can understand if you're from or have family there, but why the interest in getting based there?

In fact, why do millions of people live there? Honestly asking. A medium sized city with low cost of living seems much more attractive.

These guys are brilliant!
Tell the folks that want to be in NY to go else where.
Have people that want to be else where (very expensive) go to NY.
Now the people that want to be in NYC have to go to their old base to travel to their new base.
All the while, new folks are traveling in, to do the same exact flying.
Thats the way to endear your employees to you!
It's no wonder the USair product sucks.

I live here and love it. It's not for everyone.
