I would anticipate the 36.50 being used for first year for a while when this is implemented then back down when their need is fulfilled....I.e never. Schoolhouse rumor is 16 more 175s for Alaska

They'll fight tooth and nail as long as they can before going to 36.50. My small circle is already saying no to this but we didn't expect anything great either.

Pay package sucks, but it may be what's needed to keep new-hires through the door and upgrades happening. I'd rather have this pay package and continued decrease in upgrade times than more negotiations and potential longer upgrade.

That's definitely not guaranteed. I think the companies likely to shrink if they really can't find FOs.

Don't be frightened/fooled into believing this rhetoric. We'll do just fine without the smoke & mirrors of bonuses.

This industry (and OO) need to address the underlying cause of attracting pilots and not use bandaid approaches like this. Compensate us in meaningful ways to keep pilots interested and to keep pilots around if you really care that much.
