What seniority do the most junior CA line holders have? About 3+ years depending on the base. How long will will the 6 month CAs be on reserve especially as FOs senior to them get their 1000 121 time and upgrade keeping them at the bottom of the CA list? Probably quite a while. Reserve at PSA results in a very poor QOL. Most of the new hires either got a line out of training or sat reserve for a week or two. They will be in for a pleasant surprise when they have to sit reserve for an extended period of time. The guys who got hired 1-1.5 years ago had excellent timing and will make out very well. Not so much for those getting hired now, depending on what their goals are.

Well you tell me, what's better being on reserve as an FO at Envoy for 7 years or on reserve as a Captain for 1 year at PSA.

First Class do you fly for PSA? Approx how long have you been here? If you read my post I said "depending on what your goals are." We have by far the longest path to AA. You can't possibly believe CA reserve will be one year. Pilots on the top third of our seniority list are at 8+ months on reserve and counting, and those who had 1000 121 and have upgraded could be spending far longer than that. You think pilot 1200 in a 1800 pilot airline (2 years from now) will sit reserve briefly and experience an accelerated route to AA? I appreciate your enthusiasm but you are ignoring the numbers.

My guess is fistclass just started at psa, and is waiting for his sim date which is backed up so he spends his time posting on here from his moms basement in his pj's. That's just a guess though.
