UAL recruiter told me 8000 hrs was what is competitive right now.. People get in with less but not many..
There are better places to be than a regional while waiting for that phone call. Flying big iron for a freight company, be it a 767, MD10,11, etc. Buck the system, be different, or know the right people. Most people do nothing to stand out, and those people will alwaya be a part of the 10,000 clones waiting for the phone call that never comes
