Everyone loses their minds when PSA, Piedmont, and envoy accepts a new deal, but when this guy takes a poke at something equally damaging to the pilot group,........ all he gets for his efforts are insults and snark.

What's wrong with you people?
I have no sympathy. By going to work for GoJet, this person did more damage to this industry than they can fix by convincing people to stop picking up open time. I have an idea for what we should try to convince GoJetters to do...

Quit.

I wasn't trying to tell people not to pickup open time. I was trying to point out that GJ pilots are negotiating a new contract and they keep giving things to the company that allows the company to keep going without a new contract. First the bonus, now this little change. They are taking pennies and allowing the dollars to go away. Reminds me of how the Chirstmas turkey has replaced the Christmas bonus.

Same things are going on at Republic. The union allows the bonuses and the company can keep delaying the contract for all. Pilots have the leverage for the first time in 50 years and they are not using it.

This must have scared some since it brought out all the management people to attack me and misdirect the message.

I thought this was a pretty good raise until I saw the math error. At 2.5 extra hours per month times 12 months times 70 per hour it only equals $2100 not $4200. So if you could only do this 6 months a year you would get only 1050. $4200 didn't sound bad but the 1050 extra for 6 days more of work is not worth it. Basically, for 1050, a pilot will be stuck with the current contract for an extra year or so.

I guess when you have adjusted to working for nothing you can be controlled with only a few extra dollars.

"I'm hungry as hell and I need the extra dollar today! The new contract will have to wait!"
