Aren't there 4 year FOs on reserve at Envoy right now?

Just got off the phone with a buddy of mine. He spent his fourth year anniversary on standby at the airport. After 4 years, he isn't even holding a good reserve line.

Another pal of mine has been at TSA for 3 years. Not quite at 1000 TPIC yet, but he's getting there. You decide.

What equipment/base?

You can't have the cake and eat it too. You'll be stuck in eternal regional hell if you go dec because of reserve.

Would you rather sit reserve as an FO or reserve as a Captain? Envoy has FO's on reserve for 4 years.

Also, reserve Captains are flying alot as PSA.

Of course any of this is subject to change but that's the story right now.

Thank you, I will. Once something changes I'll be the first to say so.

I'd rather bathe in pig dong than be a DECtard at PSA reserve or not. I hope training standards there are better than others to compensate for the lack of total experience. Then of course there's the regional transplant FOs who contribute to the demise of our industry by making lateral moves.

All DECs so far have been highly experienced RJ pilots. What makes you think they are any less safe than whoever upgrades at your airline? Or any airline for that matter.

"PSA voted for 12/4, that must make their pilots are unsafe"........Genius.

When did I say anything about unsafe?

You would rather delay your career by a half of a decade, if not more, just to have the feeling of moral superiority over another pilot?

Wow...regional pilots are not very smart.
