Age 60 is now Age 65

FAA will anounce tomorrow. Terrible news for those looking to get on with a carrier and/or upgrades at majors.

Do you mean that the FAA will announce an NPDM?

Or do your sources tell you that the FAA will skip the mandated process and unilaterally change the rule?

I hear ya, kinda depression, hiring was just picking up good too. Wondering how it will affect some of the hiring at the regionals like, XJT, CHQ, AWAC, etc

Does anyone think that pilots who have retired in the past few months will return?

Here's another story. It's going to definitely change a lot of things especially at the majors that are currently hiring such as Delta. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/...n2410945.shtml

Last few months? This is going to take over a year or more to play out. Unions, management,IRS, etc. I say at least 3 years. Also I guarantee anyone over 60, is a FE forever.
