??? I didn't say anything about aviation?
When I drive, I drive...giving it my undivided attention. Sorry if it's not PC to say, but distracted women seem to be the primary road hazard here in SOCAL. Not because they are women, but because they are doing EVERYTHING BUT DRIVING when they should be DRIVING. One of them even rear ended me last month...yes she was on her phone.

Gimme a break! So I guess what you're saying is you drive better after a couple of beers than women drive sober...
I'm sooo glad I don't live near you!

have you ever tested to find out how much it takes to get to .08BAC?
my wife's coworker (she's a prosecutor) did what is called a wet lab where you basically drink and blow into a Breathalizer every hour or so. it took him over 14 beers to reach the .08BAC. he knew far before he reached the legal limit that he should be nowhere near a moving vehicle.
are you saying that you can drink a 12-pack in short order and still be good to drive a vehicle, or control something in 3 dimensions that's moving 320kts?
it's people like you that make responsible drinkers shake their heads in shame.

Thanks for all the info everyone, I passed it along to my student who was very grateful for some advise from people in the field. He's intouch with a lawyer and didn't blow, so he should have a good shot. For the record, in chicago everyone seems to drive like they are above .08 male or female...

Ha Ha. VERY funny! FWIW, I think I read somewhere that women were better at multi-tasking than men. I'm able to drive and talk too. So far, I have a spotless driving record as well...
