Default hotel points

I know it is common for 135 and fractional guys to keep hotel points that the company puts you up at. But can airline guys get the same perk?

In most cases no, but there are few that do. Others let us put in our rewards number for status building only. Last year I was able to get HHonors Gold, by bidding our Mexico overnights. They let us collect points there. I just ask at just every hotel I stay. Most say no. Some say yes. Sometimes you can put in a credit card and get points by charging a meal to your room or something. You won't get much, but it's something. The main thing is that your experience will vary.

Took me two years and a half years to get one free night. Another hotel I have 1,000 points and need 12,000 to get a free night. So good luck.

Pro tip-

Make sure you run up to the counter, with no intention of signing everyone in, and start arguing with the front desk over if you get points or not. "I come here allzzzz the time and they did it last week, gagagagagagagagaagagagagagagaag".

All while the clerk holds the sign in sheet hostage. Chicks dig it.

I'm sure you have this down to a science, along with staring down other "inferior" regional crews at the hotel thus fulfilling your egocentric self

It took me 10 to be "Gold for Life" at Marriott. Two million points! I've got guys with over 3 million; they never use the points.

99% of the time, no. You're there under a negotiated discounted rate and are not paying the bill (e.g. With a company credit card with your name on it.)

been online at Flexjet for a month and already silver or gold at most chains... the older guys (15+ years) all have Diamond or Platinum for Life along with most being Gold or Platinum with the airlines for Life

Not sure what this has to do with regional airlines, but thanks for bragging.
