If junior at OO and West Coast based on the ERJ,or want to be, expect to be on reserve for a long, long time. All movement is via transition bids, a lot of SFO and LAX CRJ FO's jumping over to the ERJ.

Why are they jumping to ERJ? Pay the same, no?

IMO, right or wrong......The new plane, able to hold a line once done with training and a recent training event all in one.
Not sure about classes and new hires as far as which air frame they get to choose now. Plenty of transition bids to cover all current and announced future ERJ fliyng.
Again, just an unofficial observation.

Pays more. Usually more efficient flying/longer legs. More pay for less work. I'm sure there are some trying to get a fresh type for resume polishing.

TSA: stared IOE in October. Was on reserve Nov/Dec with an STL base. Secured IAD (my base of choice) and a line 1/1/16. Reserve two months total. Should be like that for any new hire here. If you want RDU, you may not sit reserve at all.

Nope, the CRF just said "potentially many upgrades." I don't think we would even have the training capacity here for 40 upgrades in a single bid. The preliminary upgrade plan was 20 a bid for the next few bids, the first is now 16 and the next could be more or less but probably somewhere in that range. We'll see.

By choice then. Seven months of reserve on the 9. Got a line now and am a late 2014 hire.

Compass I finished IOE mid month, reserve the rest of it, reserve the next bidding month, then a line. 1.5 months for LAX FO reserve, other bases are a little longer.
