You guys are going to get paid at below what you you should be getting paid. You guys are non-union, and lets not kid ourselves, Colgan will always be Colgan, I don't care if you guys get 757's, its still Colgan. That being said it does worry be that LARRY the BEANCOUNTER continues to degrade his airline buy having second tier regionals doing his flying, but hey hes the CEO and his responsability is towards the share holders, not the pax. Good luck to you COLGAN guys I am angry that we are losing flying, not that you guys are getting it, if you know what I mean

PS. Getting rid of the 1900's and getting 15 more airplanes, is not expanding on a grand scale, but don't lsiten to me, I am somewhat Bitter that an airline like EXPRESSJEt which is a great place to work is losing flying to such a low class operation like COLGAN

Relax, nobody said we are taking anybody's flying. MAybe they are going to find new markets. Maybe they are going to put the Q on the shorter routes where your ERJ can't make a buck. THe Q makes its money on the 400 mi or less routes. Who knows, maybe this XJT point to point thing will take off, and you guys wont need cal anymore. YOu didn't lose 69 planes; they just got put on different flying. WE aren't losing the 1900's; we are losing 2 becuase the airframes timed out. It's funny that you bash colgan so much, becuase without them, like it or not, you would have never made it to XJT. I'm not bashing ya man, I know that XJT is like horizon: the gold standard of regionals. PPL come to colgan for different reasons, and some have had good experiences here. You know the deal brotha......

I have some very good friends who fly at colgan and enjoy it there. I think Saabrewski just left with a bad tast in his mouth for whatever reason, and now he thinks that all is good because he is at a Class Act airline. I don't think expressjet is any better than any of the other airlines. everyone has their perks, and everyone has stuff we could all do without. Its about going where you will be happy. I am very happy here at pinnacle. Others would say different. Are there things that suck,,, you better believe it, are there things that i really enjoy? I will let you know after i go back to work after almost 2 weeks off. I also have friends at skywest who love it there, and a few who don't. So bashing colgan isn't correct. You may not have liked it there but just because you left doesn't make it a low class operation. Acting like a low class operation is what brings us all down.

This industry is has been turning into one big incestual backwoods cluster-f*ck where legacy carriers diversify by having multiple regional partners and regional partners have multiple codeshares they operate under (we're up to 6 here at RAH). CAL is just trying to keep up.

I wouldn't worry too much about XJT, they are big enough and flexible enough that you will probably see them pick up flying from UAL/DAL/US Air sometime soon. And then you'll see RAH guys bitchin' about those back stabbing XJT'ers that took all our flying away ;)

Which airframes are headed? When I read that they were leaving on here I asked an FO about it and he indicated the 1900's would go, but not right off. I guess probably as they time out they will go.

I know I sound like if I could put COlgan out of business I would, I come off like that its just that for 6 months I was on reserve in ALB and I hardly flew, and when I did it was a lot of 91 BS flying, and they always screwed with my schedule, and they changed times, shorted me pay, again this was MY EXPERIENCE, and I understand people have different experiences, my views are, based on my experiences only, sorry if I come off with such an attitude, i just had it rough over at ChUCKS place

P.S. In case you guys are wondering 6 months was a long time to be on reserve at COLGAN and becuase its out station basing you never really flew all that much, here at XJT last month on reserve I flew 96 hrs and have a per diem check of $650.00 comin my way (NON_TAX TOO :) )

I am currently with CHQ. I was just waiting for you throw us under the "second tier" bus. Glad to see you did not go there.

As for the CAL stuff, XJT does not need to worry. I am sure the Q will not be pushing you guys out of business.

We need to chance are additude. We talk so much trash on this website. Why is it that the pilots fight with eachother over things which we have no control. We need to make a living, and try to live close ot home. We are pilots. All we want to do is make it in this industry. Its the guy in the bussiness suit screwing us, so he can get the 150 million extra at the end of ther year. Lets focus are energy to the guy in suit. If we all work together, maybe one day we can bring this industry back form the mcdonalds Wages. Good luck to everyone here.

Seeing how that snake, Phil Trenary treats his guys at PNCL, and his track record at running airlines, I wouldn't be surprised if he ran the operation into the ground by 2009. Remember the reason why Terry Mefford stepped down? Methinks management's decision will come back to bite both airlines in the APU soon.

... but that's just one opinion. :D
