Lightbulb So what does this Q400 thing mean for XJT

So I am kinda thinking come, 2009 when LARRY THE BEAN COUNTER has the oppertunity he is going to pull another 69 planes, that means that ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I think Im going to be out of a job, I mean I have 300 guys underneath me, but if CAL takes these planes away and Our branded flying doesnt go like I hope, I bet me the hundreds beneath me and a few hundred above me are gone, what do you guys think?

I'm thinking I hope I get my resume walked in a little faster than it's current rate. I haven't been called yet. My 120 multi isn't helping me much

haha nah you misunderstood what I was saying, I dont regret my decisio at all. Colgan was a miserable place to work and it will continue to be (Q400 or not). You guys are going to get paid at below what you you should be getting paid. You guys are non-union, and lets not kid ourselves, Colgan will always be Colgan, I don't care if you guys get 757's, its still Colgan. That being said it does worry be that LARRY the BEANCOUNTER continues to degrade his airline buy having second tier regionals doing his flying, but hey hes the CEO and his responsability is towards the share holders, not the pax. Good luck to you COLGAN guys I am angry that we are losing flying, not that you guys are getting it, if you know what I mean

PS. Getting rid of the 1900's and getting 15 more airplanes, is not expanding on a grand scale, but don't lsiten to me, I am somewhat Bitter that an airline like EXPRESSJEt which is a great place to work is losing flying to such a low class operation like COLGAN

I think it's more like 51 airplanes next time. Don't get hit on the head by the sky.

Hey SAAB,

I really hope things work out for the good at XJT. Do know for sure that the new Colgan flying is current XJT stuff or is it expansion for Continental? I hope it is new flying.

I would imagine its going to be taken from us, I mean MHT for example would be perfect for the Q400, I think it may be a little bit of both, More and more people are flying the industry is expanding for sure, who knows

I think a majority of it is that our pay rates are so low, we're cheaper. But let's not kid ourselves, Turboprops are making a comeback.

Now you HAD to go fly a regional jet. And I don't blame you. I just wouldn't have picked a company like ExpressJet at the time you did. You guys will make it. Hang tight. We're all along for the ride.
