Good for you, I am glad you are having a good experience, as far as your buddy FOSTER, me being in this industry for two years, is 1 year longer than you, and 2 years longer than the old FOSTERoowski

Actually SAAB. It's your anger that has made you so bitter about everything. So many posts! You whine so much that you want us to think that you are a minority who always expects hand-outs. Sorry may friend, but you are just another low time FO which makes you one of the many expendables out there. Nothing wrong with your position, just your lack of a humble attitude.
If you wonder why Major and Legacy drivers are not always friendly to you it is because they have already had to deal with other "wonders" and maybe they just know how to recognize that.
I am on leave from now. Back in four weeks.

Saab:

Have you been to:

http://www.expressjetpilots.com

You should hang out there. Your questions might get a better answer and people may agree with you more!?

Well, I don't know about that. :D But yes, that would probably be a superior venue for these types of questions.

I was trying in a 'round about way to say:

You can "defer" an item based on the MEL.

MEL=Minimum Equipment List,
where a DMI= Deferred Mx Item.

So when you have something inop on the airplane, or not "quite right", you will have a DMI on your release, based on the MEL. They are not one and the same.
Symantics, I know, but...:o
(This is at least according to the "Introduction" of our MEL/CDL Manual.)
Before someone asks, CDL=Configuration Deviation List.

but then I wouldn't have you guys to keep me in check
