Calm down!! He's right. But with that attitude, you'll have no problem getting on elsewhere.

Delta won't let us out of the 145 flying. Too many airplanes sitting around.

Expect this to draw sharks as they are always attracted to blood in the water. The question is who and what will be the best "reorganization plan" ?

Hint : This is likely the fist shot fired in the long-awaited inevitable consolidation of regional airlines. AAG has lots of cash and I'd rank a merger or acquisition with one of the wholly-owned's right up there at the top. If say PSA is the partner, it would make the new entity on par with Envoy and think of all those new AA flow positions for RAH pilots !

As I stated previously, if you are in line at an AAG WO for flow purposes, be prepared to invite new brothers in to share your dinner. RAH pilots, don't act emotionally just yet. You may end up with a better deal then you have now.

Delta won't have the final say, a judge will. The best reorganization plan will win the future and it may just be hostile in nature.

It's a stressful position to be in. If people were giving me BS responses I'd be snippy as well.

There's a lot of ways to save money besides gutting your contract. Chapter 11 will give them the opportunity to go after more expensive items besides your contract.

Why anyone over the last couple of months watching this unfold would go to RAH as a new hire is beyond me..

People were warning about this happening for months. It was inevitable.

Sorry for the current long term employees. It's no fun. 4 years later for us and still suffering the negative effects.

Quote: Nothing immediately. It is a long process, but as you can imagine the company will be looking for cost savings (ie pay cuts).

This will likely cause a lot of people to head for the exit. Keep your options open and now you can check the BK box for your airline e career.
Any more gutting of pilots will require justification and yes, it would be counter-productive to create a new pilot crisis which the last contract was designed to interrupt. Gutting you in this situation would only mean committing Seppuku in the much too near future and yet another reason the real solution will likely be consolidation with another carrier and elimination of some feed relationships.
