So what you are saying is you'll know when you're getting hosed....

Pilot contract wasn't touched in Mesa's bankruptcy a few years back but boy they shed just about every 50 seater they had!

Perhaps you should do YOUR research?!

There is not much to cut when there is nothing to start with. What were they going to do? Tell you that you now had to pay to sleep in the plane on a standup....

This new contract is at BEST average in the regional airline industry.
If it were 2,3 5, times better I could see an attempt to bring it down to the industry average( where it currently is)
I seriously doubt any attempts to change a mediocre contract. RAH is rushing thru the BK process, Even asking and getting requests to waive waiting periods. changing a labor contract is a long drawn out process, not going happen !!

This guy right here. Listen to him. He states facts, he's still just a plane pilot but after 1 bankruptcy seems to have miscalculated and a second one he got blindsided by, his opinion is fact, his knowledge is golden. That's why we have forums like this, for the truth to be passed onto us from experienced, knowledgable and surely correct brothers like that. A BR is always a BR, the way it happened in the past will always happen in the future, management always lie and pilots should always run away, accelerate the death of the company and jump into unemployment as fast as possible, because the future is written.

OK, going back into my hole :P

Stop saying things like that, it has no place on this forum.

It was a brand new (to them) contract and included many things that RAH just got, such as block or better and cancellation pay. So there were things that could've been cut but JO knew it would've been staffing suicide. Same now at RAH.

My memory might be bad but didn't the company try to cut it and they took it to the judge and the judge sided with the union that they were already under paid for the sector.

My memory might be off but I was an eagle union rep during bankruptcy and I think this was the case.

The new RAH contract is not below average for this sector. Also the judge can't force the main lines to pay RAH more money.
