Default DL orders 30 CRJ00's

http://yahoo.reuters.com/news/articl...mktNews&rpc=44

Hmmm....wonder where those could be going? Is it a coincidence that this gets announced right after a judge blocks Comair from striking and allows mgt to force sub-standard wages on the pilots?

Yes it is. Authorization for this order has been in the works for months. It came today because it was finally approved through the bankruptcy court process.

I was wondering why Comair is hiring so many pilots...

I just interviewed at Comair 2 days ago and they told us that this would be happening "soon".

I seriously doubt comair is going to get the 900's. I think delta is tired of comair just like they were tired of asa.

Well somebody has to fly them. I wish it would be a mainline addition, but I think that is just that- A WISH. There are soo many rumor mills these days about comair flying so I am not even going to speculate. Although i would like to fly one just to see how much different it is than the -200.

Weeeell... the fact that DAL itself bought the airplanes seems to indicate that they might be going to a wholly-owned. SKW and Mesa own all of the aircraft they operate...that might change, but I'm sure DL could have enticed SKW to buy some more airplanes.

there has been talk of Pinnacle maybe getting a piece of this pie, but I doubt it. It would be nice to see Comair get this award.

Comair would be a very valuable asset to Delta when/if both companies come out of bankruptcy in tact. My bet is these are Comair birds.
