Uh no. Why didn't you just go to a base where all your "friends" were? Then you'd have a good line too. That's what I would've done if I were you, but thankfully I'm not.

Yeah your point is definitely going right over my head. I still haven't figured out why you wouldn't just go to a junior base and get off reserve if your only concern is holding a good line. I must be missing something big though, you haven't given up yet. I should probably go to sleep if I am losing a debate with SAAB.

hahahah well, no I mean technically you are right, but some of the bases for COLGAN are in the middle of nowhere, so QOL, would go down the tubes, not to mention kinda hard to commute to Altoona, Johnstown, I mean yes you can do it, but for me woulda meant a lot of time getting to/from work. So yes you could move around to get a good line, but who wants to live in Presqisle, MA, sure its pretty but not for me

Exactly, so your seniority does count - it keeps you out of the sticks (or Altoona in your case). Meanwhile, your buddies who had lines had to live there, but you did not. That was your choice, and a trade off based on what your seniority of 6 months would allow. I still don't see why you are complaining - that's how it works.

If you're senior, you can at least GET that desirable base. Using your example, at 'other bases' you could be junior but you can't be junior and have good seniority with your pick of the bases.

Sorta like getting off reserve in EWR quicker than CLE (not sure if it's true, just using it as an example). One could be more senior in CLE and still be on reserve than in EWR and have a line.

Clear as mud?
What Saab said made perfect sense! oh my god, I agreed with the man. What you said made no sense to me! but I'll figure it out eventually.
I am #71 out of 350! Great seniority right? I am #4 out of 5 at my base, so I'm not and never have been on reserve, but I get the last line! Why don't I go to a junior base so I can get the best line? First of all - last I checked I would still be maybe #2 at most other bases, 2nd -- I'm home every night, and 3rd -- I'm home every night!!

P.S. won't be bidding the Q; will be voting yes

so you want to stay in orf and still have the best line, eventhough 4 guys at that base are senior to you...which is it??
