Its just a matter of time. MIA had the best performance at envoy. Now is one of the worst performance in the whole AAG regional network.

My entire month of April was/is spent flying through the MIA system..many times not seeing DFW until the last leg of the last day. May will be a little more MIA flying on top of April and that trend should continue.

Does this spell out the re-opening of MIA for Envoy? Maybe. The company wanted/wants a satellite base in MIA bad. That could be morphing into a full base by this point. I really hope so..for everyone who lives in South Florida.

I also just did (3) 4 day trips out of MIA. Half of my flying this year has been MIA and it is increasing.

Frustrating for people living there forever who now commute to DFW/ORD RSV and end up on a Deadhead right back to MIA nearly every week anyway.

They need to just give us the base back and get it over with. 40 lines worth is as big as the base was at some points anyway.

MCO - DFW was never going to happen. I moved to DFW once I was shifted out of LGA to DFW. There are too many passengers and also a lot of mainline AA guys on that route. Just wasn't worth the hassle.

Delta Private Jets is a home based charter company that will deadhead you on day one to where the airplane is and deadhead you back home on your last day. Its not a regional though.... But they still have the dgi program with Delta if you are interested.

You can try Xojet, plenty of MCO based guys. Company pays for positive space to and from homebase. Lots of south Florida guys too.

Looks like in 2017 there will be a train running multiple times a day between Orlando and Miami, airport to airport:

I live in Orlando and I flew with Silver Airways for a year. I left in March. I was MCO based and they do day trips. Great job to be home a lot and I had a blast flying to the islands and around Florida. It's also a great pilot group. Unfortunately you get abused pretty bad from crew scheduling (not their fault). Their running extremely short on pilots because their not doing anything to retain them. There's no flow/interview setup and it's very difficult to go from there to a major. On top of that it's very poor pay. They are in the middle of renegotiating a contract but who knows how long it could take. I left for Endeavor and I'm VERY happy here. All their bases are easily commutable from MCO and the future/pay/growth is fantastic.
