Default Eagle "Begging" for Pilot Applicants?

I received an email from Eagle, funny I haven't had an application on airlineapps for 3 years. I guess things are really heating up over at Eagle.

800/100 or near these mins.
700 pilots in 2007

Where are they going find that many pilots? There aren't many Americans in flight schools these days.

Not knowing where you'd be based or what equipment was a huge turn off for me. I heard they are addressing this issue somewhat.

"American Eagle is planning on hiring approximately 700 pilots in 2007 and is now offering flexibility in choice of domicile with confirmation prior to training."

Where did you get your information?

Hey,

I am going down there in a couple weeks for an interview. I have same issue with domicle and not knowing where your going but, they changed their policy last week. So from what I understand you can pretty much tell them where you want to go and guarenteed to be based there. No more guessing game. So I am going to find out and see if I can get BOS or least the emb which means I'll at least be able to bid BOS. When I got call I she expressed that they are desperate for people and thats what is reflected this new policy change. So it should be interesting. Now lets see if I can pass the interview

When I posted my resume on AirlineApps 3 years ago, I was contacted by Eagle to interview. I decided not to interview because of the domicile/equipment issue.

Good luck to all of you.

I am at Commutair. I like it here but, they closed the BOS base and I am not much of a fan of commuting.

Don't blame ya, well Good luck I hear Eagle interviews have always been difficult, but seems that will certainly change, besides your 121 you already have the job at Eagle, they just want to me you. anyway good luck

P.S. Its funny how things change so quickly when I was first trying to get on with an airline about 1 1-/2 years ago I had 1150 and like 150 multi and the only interview I got was Eagle, Colgan, and Mesa, hah I only went to Colgan interview and got it, but I had applied to CHQ, XJT ( #1 of course), AWAC, SKW and now CHQ, SKW, AWC are hiring guys like crazy with 600/100 or at the companies bare min. Took me 3 applications and 6 months of 121 to get an interview at XJT.

I hope all the regionals become starved for pilots. It might be the first ripple of help that could mean some hiring before they raise the retirement's and cut us all off again

I tell every F.O. I fly with everyday to quit and go work somewhere better. It is my small contribution to stoping Mesa's BS. I just hope a few listen before I decide I can't handle it anymore and quit too!
