Just wondering, with everything I have been reading on past posts, anyone know on average how many folks are you getting to show up for interviews? And then showing up for class?

Cannot answer about total interviewed but my current class has 10. There are 6 in the class ahead of my and 6 in the class behind mine.

So you're currently in class at XJT?

Good luck. Have representatives of the Company came in and visited with you guys yet?

I can't sit here and confirm it will drop 4 years because its a regional and nothing is predictable. But its something to think about.

L-XJT:

Not sure what half truth you are trying to throw out, but lets get some facts behind the info you are putting out there. No pilots were hired between Nov 2007 and Jan 2011. That is only 3 years and 2 months. It will only drop a big whopping 3 years.

If the 2011 new hire were to be awarded upgrade today, he would still be a 6 year upgrade. That is NOT going to happen for another year at least. There are still over 70 people until I upgrade and I was in the last 2007 class. That is a very large number to upgrade considering we are only upgrading ~6 each bid and we have only had 5 bids for the 2017 year.

Most of you guys are smart enough to do your own math. Just don't let someone from recruiting at XJT get you with fuzzy math  .

I still can't figure out why anyone would go to XJT right now with a 33,000 / year pay when they could be making 60,000 somewhere else with fast (2-3 year) upgrades.

Your math is accurate. I was simply stating it was something to keep in mind. I am by no means expecting it to fall more than a few years, but it is something to look out for. I haven't heard anybody in recruiting feed me any bull**** with upgrade time, maybe other items, but not upgrade. It's too hard to bull****. :D

They have been saying that same dribble for years. Guess what there are still about 50 guys, that are from 2007. At the current rate of upgrades that will take another 2-3 years. The only thing that is predictable is XJT is loosing airframes, it will dwindle to 100 airframes on the LXJT side over the next year.

ExpressJet is getting that many people? Why?

There are much better places to go. Why would anyone go to ExpressJet? That's almost as bad as going to Mesa!

Oh really mesa? Don't think you can compare a 10 year upgrade time to FOs being on Obamacare...

I think he meant they are both equally poor choices, even though they are poor choices for different reasons.

What are the odds all CA vacancies get filled? Curious is street CA are in the near future. I can't decide if that is a good or bad thing. Thoughts?

Are you the ERJ or CRJ? The class before and after you should be the opposite, right? Sounds like one side of the company is not getting as many pilots as the other side.
