Some classmates are DCA based and they don't fly much at all either, more than ORF... but not quite as much as PHL.

So you are rsv ORF? How have you been getting around "maintain rsv coverage...?" Everyone's been getting PC/RGS 2 months early... mine was 3 months...

My RGS was 3 months prior to base month, PC two months prior (days before end of probation).

I dunno about DCA based reserve FOs, but I did get a last turn dropped this past week 24 hours ahead of time. I also know of a DCA RSV FO that recently left to go fly the CRJ at RAH...

Groon.. Are you Ready Reserve by chance? I know that they will not let ready reserve pick up time cause they need you at the airport for those so called "emergency times." I Just got awarded ORF, but am hopping to go to PHL after this next new hire class comes in. If not, are there enough crash pads in ORF? Ill need to get something there. I don't want to move just yet.

No... I was last October and November but now I am currently number 5 on the reserve list. I was actually awarded a line starting in July.

And about a crashpad... The place Korean1DR and I stay is full, but I'm sure the owner would say otherwise...

Hey guys. I have an interview at AIRWIS on the 17th. Sara said its the second group of interviews this month and this month marks the first interviews in 4 months. I am currently at TSA so anywhere is better. Its always been a goal to fly for AIRWIS. Good pay. Do you think that the hiring of new pilots will help you groov. Its the industry standard...I get hired you go up. Do you think AIRWIS is too fat on crews? And if so why are they hiring?

Wiskey was overstaffed (supposedly; many argue properly-staffed) during the winter and reserves in Norfolk don't fly much because it is an outstation domicile, but with recent attrition we're getting back to normal (many argue slightly understaffed) levels. With the hiring that will be going on upstream this summer, and with FOs leaving to chase faster upgrades or going into 91/135 flying, we need folks in the pipeline soon so that we don't have the same staffing issues this summer everybody else is having now.

Good luck on your interview!

I think it is a logical fallicy to assume that because more pilots are hired that i move up. How I see it is the only way I move up is if people senior to me leave. The adidition of Pilots junior to me doesn't hurt my situation, but in that case I would only move up relative to the size of the whole pilot group, but not climb the seniority list.

AWAC is still a little fat, but I believe we have now started a routine of diet and exercise and hopefully will be more balanced from here on.
Come on over, we would love to have ya. Tell all my buddies there at TSA that I went to Parks with to come on over too.
