I have a friend who is interested in working for UAL, SWA or Frontier as a pilot in DEN only. His numbers are:
2700 TT
2000 PIC
1500 ME
580 Jet
Colledge degree
He is not current and hasn't flown in 4 years. What would be the best route to become current again and eventually work for one of those carriers. Looking for a short/long game plan.
Thanks

Same thing that 10,000+ other pilots with the same (or much better) credentials are doing.

I'll let you in on a real secret you got to post this same question in the thread of the majors. You see it's better to ask the guys who made it there vs all of us regional scum who aren't there yet. Lol

Chekkit AAhole. He's asking what his friend can do to get current again to be able to apply to said major airlines in hopes of one day being offered employment. He said short/long game plan. Where did he ask for your judgement. I think I see why it's difficult for some folks (you) to move on.

I'm sure the industry will be banging on his door as soon as he gets current.

Lol, the fact this his friend couldn't do this kind of research on his own shows a lot about how much he cares to make it. There is guys out there with 2700 hours that have not even upgraded at regionals, yet he needs people to go on the internetz for him to see if southwest will hire him on the spot.
