Default Highest hiring minimums

With all this talk of PFT programs, low time hiring. I was wondering what regionals out there have the highest standars for hiring.

I see Air Canada Jazz has insanly high requirements:
1) airline transport license
2) 1500 tt
3) 1000 pilot in command
4) 500 Multi!

Turbine experiance is heavily prefered

I think it is very weird that Jazz(air canadas regional) has higher hiring mins than AirCanada itself.
All air canadas requirments are is 1000 tt and Commercial Pilot licence, current Instrument Rating and Multi-Engine endorsement.

I think Chautauqua is probably the highest right now. Or at least one of the highest.

I will ask the opposite; which airlines are hiring with 500tt and 35multi without a bridge program? Besides Great Lakes and Mesa. I have 121 Dispatch experience but I am bored with the job and want to transition to the cockpit.

That's what you might think but GA and Mesa aren't that desperate yet. Kind of hard to find a low time job without some kind of bridge program. I think the mins for street pilots now are about 800 hours. ASA lowers the mins to 500 if you have some kind of jet course experience.

Comair will hire you with those hours.

Get the multi up to 100 and maybe Air Wisconsin will give you a look, particularly with a connection.

I'm sorry those times aren't high. There are what minimums should be for all regionals.

This is not the place to complain about minimums being too high...flightinfo is the best place for this garbage.

I relize the 1500tt isnt to much, but that 500 multi seems a little much. Relative to most regionals it is alot more. I guess the main thing that startled me was AirCanadas mins seem like a regional while Jazz's seem like a mainline.

Minimums at the majors usually only apply to a very narrow range of affirmative action ticket holders...the realistic numbers are always much, much higher. At the regional level it is common to get hired at or close to mins.

AC jazz or any regional level job in Canada will take a lot more hours then here in the states. Underneath those mins is posted the following :
Pilot applicants far exceed the number of job vacancies available, so preference will be given to candidates with qualifications exceeding the basic requirements. Examples of such desirable qualifications include, but are not limited to:
experience in Airline Operations (i.e. CAR 705 operations);
turbine engine experience;
jet experience;
heavy aircraft (i.e. greater than 12,500 lbs. MTOW) experience;
post secondary education; and
French language ability.

From the Canadian pilots I've talked to it takes ATLEAST 3,000 hours to get noticed by Jazz.
