Sure, but since there is no expectation or requirement to speak or understand any of the languages you reference in the world of aviation who cares.
On the other hand clearly speaking and clearly understanding the English language is a requirement. Stating the fact that it is not uncommon for pilots to fail to communicate well on the radios due to a language deficiency is not racist or xenophobic or any other hypersensitive crud, it is just the result of putting warm butts in the seat when their English language skills are marginal.
BTW, anyone post lately on the working conditions and lifestyle at Mesa? Sure would like word from someone on the inside.

I have and Its getting easier to understand over there! Im Talking about American Carriers!! I find it Scary that at places like Envoy, PSA, Mesa, Expressjet, Skywest are now hiring pilots that don't have a complete grasp of the english language and are flying around 76 people on a 40 million dollar RJ.
