I would be curious to see those same stats a year from now now that several have raised the starting pay.

He said that he got his numbers from ALPA. I doubt ALPA publishes data on an airline that is non-union.

You charts show 374 hired at PSA between Feb 2015 and October 2016.

Our seniority lists show 539 hired in that same time period.

Is it just me or does it seem like hiring slowed down as the year progressed?

I'd be curious to see where the discrepancy is. The data I found is only probationary pilots which also happen to be new hires. Unless there is some kind of arrangement where if you work for another wholly owned you don't have to go back on probation or something to that effect.

No idea. No arrangement like that that I'm aware of, and I highly doubt we've hired that may AAG former WO pilots to begin with.

What I'm doing is counting the number of times each DOH occurs on each seniority list, as each pilot has their DOH next to their name on the lists.

Comparing each month to month I can get an idea of where the attrition is by longevity, and the largest of those numbers for a given class date is the original size of the class.

I don't think any of us know how Mesa is still filling classes. I think they are doing real interviews again too.

They hired just under 1000 in 2016.
Friend of mine is a recruiter there and they will be looking at more this year.
Probably around the 1200-1300 pilots in 2017.
