lol. Two nice looking women.. hrmmmmm but seriously it wouldn't have been a walk in. More like a call and ask if there was the posibility to interview on a certain date. but I get the drift now.

I think that says it all right there. There are those that have to work for it, and there are those that are always handed it.

Am I one of those who are always handed something? Then state how you know this. I'd like to know how good your "thought process" is.

I think quite the opposite is true. Toilet Duck has already expressed that he has been aggresive with his job hunting in the past. Luck is where oppurtunity meets preperation. He is going out of his way to try and get in with express. If he wanted to just be handed something he'd probably sit at home like everybody else waiting for their number to be called.

Either way its pretty ignorant to assume that much about somebody based on an ananymous forum.

Even though I don't think it would either help or hurt, I can't find anything wrong with ToiletDuck's attitude. Looks like he/she's a go-getter who doesn't wait to be handed anything.

That said, I would guess that Xjet would not want everyone who's interested to drop-in un-announced as they are already swamped with applicants.

The main thing with ExpressJet like other airlines is having a recommendation from anther XJT pilot. I waited like three months and didn't hear anything. Then one of my friends recommended me and I got the email a week later. Who knows...but it is an awesome company so far.

I've never had to interview for a job before so I'm not 100% on what proper etiquette is. I know they schedule interviews but not if I could call and schedule one while I'm there.

this is ain't a walk-in clinic, but good luck with getting the interview.

ToiletDuck 02-22-2007 04:54 PM

I said "swing by" but give a little credit fire. I know some places, like skywest who do the group interviews, allow you to meet in person and if they get a good feel they extend an interview invite. The original intention was to give a call and see if I could meet up. I completely understand that isn't going to happen so it's a dead subject.
