200 planes? Where did that number come from? You mean 100? Part will be used to replace the old 170’s, the rest will be “growth.” But the question is growth where? No room in scope at our current partners. Haven’t even thought about Alaska. I’m not sure how Horizon is currently doing, but just a year ago they were ****ting the bed hard and Alaska was trying to sack em. I’m sure YX could sell itself to them and that would give OO the direct competition that BB has been raving about constantly. Hot off the press, heard it here first on APC, YX is buying Horizon..................... Also, remember we have gained 30 E-175s from Compass once Delta changed their agreement to us. https://www.businesswire.com/news/ho...firm-order-100 |

Yes it is a firm 100 planes from Embraer, but there is also an option for an additional 100 planes after the first 100 come. In the this agreement the option says they can also be E2s if the scope changes.

These additional airframes supposedly coming on later in 2020 have nowhere to go currently. The school house has been saying part will be replacements, the rest are growth. Where? Another codeshare? I don’t believe UALPA will relax scope, although UA would definitely be the first to make that move if that happened. Relaxing scope to fit the E2’s? Highly unlikely and that wouldn’t be good for anyone, unless you wouldn’t mind operating a 100-120 seat aircraft on b scale pay.... |

Hopefully they’ve learned their lesson and will keep as much in house as possible. Scott with two T’s will make sure himself that the regionals don’t get anymore of “his” flying. |

I can’t wait for UALPA to relax scope then come on here and yell at us for cheapening and “ruining” their product. Even tho they sold out for a quick buck.

Just saw on flight radar 24 a flight from ORD to Tucson AZ.. looks like they are adding more flights out west I guess.

Which is strange. Don’t get me wrong, I love it. As someone who lives in Chicago and will never see ORD (as it stands now...) its great to see more flying from Chicago. It’s strange OO isn’t operating it tho.
I don’t see YX consistently flying out west without a closer base established. With SDF opening again and BOS starting to take flight, another base in the near future is unlikely. They’ll have too much on their plate trying to make sure they perform for DL out of BOS right now. Now I would like to think that if YX performs really well with these western routes, UA might take notice, BUT we’re talking about United. AA and DL are the only ones that seem to award more flying to top performers. |

I’m not sure about Tucson, but the routes out of DEN are probably only seasonal help for the holidays unfortunately, especially since the MAX is grounded.

E2 175 isn’t a 100-120 seat aircraft... The only reason it’s not scope-compliant is because of MTOW. I can easily see UALPA relaxing the weight portion of scope, which would allow for E2’s.
