Default Career progression

How is career progression at Republic?

Not talking about 1 year and then off to a major but when it comes to pilot recruiter, check airman, chief pilot? Other leadership positions?

There’s a bit of stagnation in some positions except sim instructor, LCA, and ACP. Union positions are pretty stagnant as are recruiter positions.

Also is there a minimum amount of time to wait before you can bid for LCA or ACP?

In our books somewhere it’s like 5000 hours I think. 2500 in type or some weird number. I could be off. It could be 3000 total i don’t remember. So until those people leave or you get the time. You can always move up the ladder by becoming an instructor, etc

LCA is probably ten years from DOH. They don’t give that away, and most come from instructor positions. ACPs are typically FOs, because the pay isn’t that great. Might be able to get a ACP position early, if you make your desire known. Also drink plenty of the Kool-Aid! You could probably hold a instructor position is 4 years, if you didn’t slip up. The union chairman position are very stagnant, but you could probably get a non chairman position after a year or so.

I could be happy with ACP, CP, LCA or other leadership position that doesn’t have to do with union.

I don't like unions but it's a necessary evil in this business. If you love the job then you get over it.
