You must do only American flying. United spends a lot of time west of the Mississippi. GJT, ABQ, ELP, SLC, RAP, BZM overnights. But then you guys get all those long Caribbean overnights in the winter which we don't get, so it can't be all complaints.

Strange to see a republic pilot on here that isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. Other than kcaviator, every other republic pilot on this forum would have you thinking its as good as a mainline job. Heck, the guys in the majors forum have more gripes than Republic pilots.

He has a grievance that isn't getting the attention he thinks it should get, so he is a little bitter right now.

I’m not all “sunshine and rainbows” but I have no gripes about Republic. Pilots in general just complain about EVERYTHING no matter how many digits are on the paycheck. I had a DPE years ago who was a United FO *****ing about his future trip to somewhere in Asia was a ****hole....he worked one trip a month.... It ain’t the company it’s your OWN perspective on life, blame YOURSELF! Unions are at fault for this because they make you believe you always deserve more for giving NOTHING more to your employer. Reality check for those that never worked outside of an aviation career...you have to put in to get out! Welcome to life outside of socialism! Millennials have this problem...expecting more for nothing in return. RPA is a great company to fly for, but be careful if you say that you’re automatically tagged as a “company pilot”.... If you don’t like it, remember YOU choose to stay here!

If you’re one to agree that YX is owned by their partners then let’s start here. Republic has invested and is currently very successful in a flight training school (LIFT) that ensures graduates get 5 years min at YX by contract. This means a constant flow of pilots to make it simple for ya. BRAND NEW facility with BRAND NEW advanced aircraft, 40 something to be exact. Oh that must mean that the “partners” aka majors must have invested in this by default since they “own” YX right? Hmmmm... Now I’m not a business major, economist or whatever but that tells me YX has somewhat of a constant future providing feeds to their partners. BB and the executive team have been around and turned around a failing company since year 2000 and they’ve been through it ALL! The result to this day? A growing, NOT shrinking airline. I’m not sure if you’re an EDV guy but in the words of my CEO, “god bless ya” because YX and OO are taking on more DL flying while EDV is losing it.......RED FLAG!!! Hopefully you have apps in somewhere else other than DL since you ain’t worthy of a flow despite being “100 percent owned” by DL. There’s no negative times in sight for YX, again the executive team has been around for almost 20 years and we are still continuing to fill classes a year plus out...there hasn’t been a “oh **** stop hiring people because things ain’t looking to good” yet, despite some select regionals that have this issue now...compass liquidation.... oops.

20 years? When was that bankruptcy again? You got pretty good batch of koolaid huh? Guessing you are either just on property or in the last 18 months.
And EDV shrinking, that’s funny. I will admit though, I have seen more OO 175s in LGA than YX ones lately. Maybe it’s just coincidence.
And to help you out, yeah I’m a 9E guy. No, apps are not out. No intent too either, I had my chance for NW back in 01. Unfortunately right place at the wrong time.
