no, republic is piloting a new crowdsourced e-checkairperson program with Embry-Riddle where over 100 AVSC 101 students will zoom into IOE flights and use realtime electroshock feedback to new FO’s resulting in lower costs, faster feedback and a low but acceptable incidence of total hull loss

They’re far too busy picking color patterns for the Carmel training center to worry about such things.

Ah yes yes yes, I should’ve known better. Riddle reigns supreme and it was foolish of my to think that they wouldn’t be aiding RPA with fresh bodies in seats with no need for an experienced CA in the left seat

Won’t ever make that mistake again, please forgive me

Truthfully, a poorly worded question. I guess what I was trying to ask is how proactive has the company been with the issue? Though from your reply it seems like they’re aware of it. Outside looking in, we just don’t know how bad that attrition is due to hiring at the majors. Seriously crazy times!

unless something is drastically different at RPA than Brand ZeroTT… the attrition is BAD.

LCA’s are likely to be what finally kills the regional model because 1) the levers to increase supply are very limited 2) adding lca to an app is pretty much instant multi CJO currently 3) the full throttle hire/upgrade bilge pump currently keeping the regionals afloat will very quickly fall behind without lca’s

In the MS Teams meeting with HR today for December new hires, they mentioned that there will be a relief coming in training delays (a few weeks between LOE-IOE) with the addition of new LCA's by January.

They are on it, but it takes months. They have a whole bunch in training to become check airmen. But in the short term that sucks training resources exacerbating the problem. And still they are losing check airmen to the majors…

Thanks for the responses y’all! Future seems promising. Hopefully the backlog will be cleaned up soon!

Andy Dufresne Any idea if it's the same for re-quals?
