They are working through the list. I know someone who got a phone call offering an updated class date (which he declined because he went elsewhere). If you are set on Republic, you're gonna just have to be patient or maybe try an email to your recruiter. Rumor is classes will *slowly* be starting back up in June. Current numbers still show a +200 FO imbalance.

Do you know anything about this New F/O Career Advancement Pathway Program Agreement? I've heard existing RP pilots are being offered it but those that have read the agreement are taken aback by how draconian the language is. Or is this just for potential street captains?

No idea what you are referencing. Could you mean the Upgrade Incentive Program?

Thank you so much for the information

So it turns out it's not for current pilots but for those who were told to expect class in Oct or later. Word is they are calling those people to offer them June classes but only giving them 24 hours to respond. Allegedly there's a $60k bonus for a 3 year commitment but the penalty for leaving early is $100k plus there's a ridiculous non-compete clause buried in the language. Overall it appears this is a bad look for RP.

I have no substantial knowledge of this other than the rumors I've heard and read. I'm not sure why they would even feel the need for this because I don't see any regional having issues with fresh FO apps. The only thing I can think of would be the attempt to save a few bucks on not having to conduct new interviews to replace some CJOs already extended.

this is not an attempt at hiring it’s an attempt at retention.

Think it’s the best way to retain FOs to lock them in for sometime instead of just training them to fly OE and then go to some other airline. Makes sense as a company. Obviously ****ty for the pilots but it beats sitting at home waiting for a call maybe.

Unfortunately, if this is the case, I can’t even recommend my friends look at RPA. It’s this today, what’s tomorrow?

Turns out you're correct. I cannot recommend anyone put their signature on this. Hopefully RPA will understand this is not the way to keep employees. Additionally, the 3 year commitment MUST include 2 years as a captain to fulfill all requirements and there does not appear to be any exception should the music stop and you become an involuntary member of the $36.62 club (top step FO back when the music stopped in 08 with nowhere to go).

Strongly recommend prospective new hires do not sign this. If it's a condition of employment, look elsewhere. Union is contesting it.
