For those who want to work their rear off, don’t worry there’s over 70 trips to pick up on open time from 1 day trips to 5.

There’s nothing wrong with people who want to do min guarantee or work their tail off. To each their own I say..

All that said, I think the training so far has been nothing less then stellar.

It’s not really about luxury at that phase. You don’t have a choice. Enjoy the paid vacation, or find a side hustle to fill your time if min guarantee doesn’t cut it.

If everyone flew mins, they’d hire a lot more pilots, or raise the pay and bonuses to attract more Pilots (hence not needing to flyover mins). I mean 45/flt hr, only Mesa (who’s getting a big raise) & Air Wisconsin are the only two bottom feeders. Then Republic who has no flow and no aviate. I feel sorry for the recruiters. Hard job to sell now.

I honestly think SKW recruiters have it worse. They have lots of base options which makes it a bit easy to recruit, but the pilots have it a bit worse than others out there

That being said, our training department is very fair & my experience was that they truly want you to succeed.
Sounds good to me.

I would agree. No bonuses, low pay, no union. Bases and the company’s somewhat agreeing to work with the pilot group is about the only positive they have to brag about.

RPA is a great company but these applicants don’t know/understand work/trip rules. They only look at the75 Guarantee times flight pay and RPA’s bonus stretched out over 5 years and are choosing flow and quicker paid bonuses and higher starting wages over contract rules & Regs.

The applicant pool is getting smaller as those who dropped out of training when Covid hit & layoffs began (industry wide) didn’t return or waited it out before returning to training and are nowhere close. Thank God they have Lift Students to flow in and fill the gap. When that drys up, then management will look at the new hire package.

Thats exactly what I looked at when deciding on a regional. Bonus come and go. Flow is nothing, but an insurance policy at best. To each their own though.

Sure we do, go to a regional that does not have that training delay. My whole point was, to some people, the delay while making minimum pay is not an option. That's all.

Which Regional trains from ATP/CTP To release from IOE with no more than 2 days off a week to complete it the fastest? Atlas trainees only get 1500/mth. SkyWest trainees share rooms. RPA pays full pay. Tell me on the doll where it hurts you, that you over budgeted your personal finances.
