Default RATP and Training Contract

Hello. As a cadet with a restricted ATP (21 years old and 1500) FO, does anyone have experience with or an opinion on how Republic implements the training contract provisions: upgrade asap in 12-18 months NLT 24 months?

Just trying to get a read on the timelines and on the milestone triggers during the process. Would I assume that the age must come first, so Republic has no choice but to allow the 24 months to occur? (I see an 850 HR upgrade bid trigger date).

thanks!! (And am interested if the February vote might change/eliminate the training contract provisions).

My wife got a class in 2023 the week after her 21st birthday. Had hours well before 24 months but obviously due to needing to be 23 she did not upgrade. However they had her in a class about a week before her birthday. That being said other than the age aspect things are always changing and currently upgrade is about 2 years of seniority anyways if not a few months longer.

youll need the TPIC to go to a legacy anyway. Dont worry about contracts, you’ll be well beyond them when competitive for a legacy. The post Covid perfect storm passed, we won’t see regional FO barely out of training going to a legacy again in this hiring wave without the friends and family plan. The mainline managements quietly admit their entire training requirements and programs and pilot progression model were based upon experienced pilots with TPIC experience as new hires. The multitude of problems they experienced resulted in many training program adjustments and even operational adjustments of cancelling more flights that in the past the deep experience level could rely on the PIC judgement to cancel/delay. Not nice to hear, but it is true.
