Funny thing, this business of law. Interesting that their point of contention mentions as statement of fact that potential employees have withdrawn their interest in the company or have quit calling all together as a DIRECT RESULT of reading that website.

I'm pretty sure that they would have a very hard time convincing any judge or jury that a single person, let alone multiple people, were directly dissuaded from seeking employment 100% due to the fact that this website existed. In addition to that, there is no requirement by anybody related to either party to force anyone to go to and / or read the contents.

At worst, change a bit of the wording. Instead of, "If the pilots should strike while you are on probation, you will face a very difficult choice: strike with us and be fired by the company, or cross a picket line and earn the black mark of a scab."

..make sure you use words such as, "...could be...", or even, "..likely be", if precedent has been set.

If statements of fact are indeed fact, you will be fine.

Funny you'd think Bedford would want to keep all this dirty laundry from getting to the public. Now all the nonsense that goes on there will come out in discovery for this lawsuit and be made public. All this is going to do is give the company more bad publicity and drive applicants away. Will be interesting to see how this works out.

Unfortunately, the legal system heavily favors the interests of big business and the persuit of profit. My bet says RAH is successful. Unfortunately for them, I think this website wont solve their recruitment problems. In fact, this is just an early symptom of an impending illness for regional carriers and eventually mainline carriers.

It's a great capitalist goal to bring your wages down to these levels, but the law of supply and demand is rapidly catching up. The airline industry is renowned for treating their employees shabbily and making every effort to compensate poorly and THAT is the reason most people won't invest an extra $50-75K for flight training. Even if the airlines footed the bill, it's really not worth all the hassle for most anymore. Even the shiny metal of a new E190 wears off after 6-12 months and faster under constant abuse.

Soon they're ALL going to have a real problem with their businesses. My guess is they'll wait till it becomes a crisis and cry for help from someone.
