We've been trying to negotiate a rate since before the SLI, but the company keeps dragging their feet feet claiming they were getting rid of all them. They are still flying under the old Lynx rate.

The airline industry is great. Being a pilot is cool. It is a lucrative career.

Sad industry we are in!
I agree....I am ****ed off that the Colgan guys don't go with the planes at their longevity pay date. Just start a bunch of guys starting over at year one pay. Reminds me of the old bag over the head, punch in the face that Chevy Chase, er Clark Griswold spoke of in Christmas Vacation...
Really? We're acquiring the planes, not the airline. You're proposing a merger or what?

Says the 190 FO making less than 40 an hour. Wow, just wow. Typical.

Unless you've been in hiding, RAH has been interviewing and hiring many Colgan Q400 pilots the last few weeks. There's your pilots.

That's what the Rev put in his letter to employees.

I realize they've been hiring Colgan pilots, but were they assigning them to the Q's? I would guess not since they just announced this today. I guess if they've not been giving class dates yet that gives RAH flexibility, but they're still going to have to put a lot of guys through two full months of training.

If RAH ran a class of 50 per month starting this month, they would still fall short of full staffing if the aim is to fly these routes by the third quarter. If October 1 were to be the start date, it would be a stretch to say those hired in August would be ready.

I'm sure RAH has a plan to staff the aircraft, but it seems like a tight fit.
