I guess that is irrelevant though...this is Airlinepilotforums.

I just got offered an option to choose between a Republic Q400 or a Chautauqua ERJ145 class. Can anybody offer any ideas or advice? Pros and cons?
What domiciles am I likely to get? How about how long can I expect to sit on reserve?
Thank you!

I'd take the Q. About 30 more birds to come and you'd be fairly senior on the airplane and would probably have a line from the start or near to. The only domiciles announced so far are DEN, MCI, and PIT. I'd bet MCI to start. Where do you live?

I currently live abroad and plan to move to whatever base I'm assigned. So domicile is not an important factor to me.
I'm mainly having concerns with the jet vs. t-prop time. Not sure if that would make any difference in the future, having time in one or the other.

If you want to work for Jetblue, jet time is more important. If you want to work for anyone else, PIC time is important which you won't get any of.

Be advised, this company opens and closes bases on a mere whim. Be careful base-chasing here.

That is exactly what I am not doing. I don't have any preferences when it comes to bases. Any will do.

Also, could someone confirm that F/O pay is the same on the Q400 and on the ERJ145?

Yes. All FO pay is the same crappy pay. That will get better whenever we get a new contract - or when Jesus comes back, whichever occurs first.
