I ain't at republic. Just tellin them how to fix a lot of their performance numbers! That plane has always broke a ton, and always will. I'm sure they already have a lot of flap drive messages from new FO's touchin the damn flaps at the gate

Default Republic losing big on Q400 operation.

I wonder how operators outside the US are doing with this aircraft.

We are consistently in the 98-99% completion at QX. We had to up the "touch time" that MX gets with the airplanes and we now have MX at a good many outstations. Management made it on of the top 3 goals, and have made really good strides at getting 99% rolling dispatch reliability.

In fact for 6 straight months of this past year, QX was the most on-time airline in the US.

Self inflicted gear failure caused by spraying the planes with chemicals and not rebuilding the gear correctly. The Q400 is like a needy child, requires a lot of attention.

There are some Lynx CA that went to the 170 as an FO, then got to go back to the Q400 as a Captain and are junior to me. All the while, I am not senior enough to hold a CA seat anywhere in the system.

Arbitration might sort this out....

It is imperative that the plane be flown by pilots with a lot of time in type and worked on by mx with a ton of time on type. It is a total hangar queen but an experienced crew (pilot/mx) can keep it pretty reliable(ish) (credit to smittey).
With our ongoing contract situation...let's just say it's still going to take two hours to fix.
