Well... one can only hope that these two dangerous individuals, who clearly demonstrated careless and reckless behaviour, will have their flying privileges permanently revoked.

VIP customer, let’s get the job done attitude and a reverse ( or negative ) gradient in the cockpit.
I’m gonna go with pilot 1 and pilot 2 as nobody was PIC:
Pilot 1 gear down ( above max ext speed)
Pilot 2 No
Pilot 1 maybe go around?
Pilot 2 No
Then it turned into a systems knowledge cluster

Pffft who needs gear doors anyway?
I feel like, of all people, a NASCAR driver would understand how things sometimes don’t go as planned, and that safety (taking your go-around like a man) is of the utmost importance when you’re doing 150mph—especially with family on board.

I may be mistaken, but it sounds like you think Dale jr. was one of the pilots flying the aircraft.

Sorry. I meant that if they pulled the trigger and took the jet around, they could easily justify it to Dale, of all people—someone who understands the consequences of pushing a bad situation at high speeds.

Like the Gulstream IV crew that ran their airplane off the departure end of the runway... this particular crew’s luck ran out. Like the Gulfstream IV crew, their luck ran out. Knock wood by the grace of the Sky Gods, no fatalities resulted due to their shear incompetence, along with reckless and careless operation of an aircraft.
