Well they’re overcentering switches so that’s not the worst.
Spilling liquid into your center pedestal could give you all sorts of issues.
That’s the not-so-smart-part.

This would never happen to me because our coffee is swamp water. But then we got espresso machines….

I seem to remember the 727 foot brace allowing you to rest a small cup on it. Only floor below though.

Can't always rely on that. Someone put a tablet in the same position and when the power levers came back, it caused the tablet to move the fuel levers to cut off.

I would have loved to have been a fly on the bulkhead of that cockpit....
