United Airlines flight skids off Akron-Canton
United Airlines flight skids off Akron-Canton Airport runway, no one hurt

GREEN: A United Airlines commuter flight from Chicago has skidded off a runway into muddy grass after landing at Akron-Canton Airport. An airline spokesman says there were no injuries.
The accident happened just after midnight Friday when United Express Flight 5916 arrived at Akron-Canton from Chicago's O'Hare International Airport. The flight was operated for United by ExpressJet Airlines Inc. ExpressJet spokesman Jarek Beem says the flight landed safely but then went off the side of the runway.
Beem says the 44 passengers and three crew members left the plane safely through the main boarding door and were escorted back to the terminal.
Weather conditions at the airport were dry at the time of the accident. Beem says the airline is working with federal investigators to determine why it happened.
