If that OH nose wheel was lifted off the ground, it may have been part of the reason why the tail was not torn off. Impressive to say the least.

The AF Capt is toast...he's on video taxiing in a congested area with indicated airspeed, and he did probably somewhere between $15-40M in damage.

It appears he was taxiing at about 23 mph (it took 7 seconds for the bus to pass, 240 ft in 7 seconds is about 23 mph).

If he's issued a violation by the FAA... does that matter to the French Civil Aviation Authority? Will he not be allowed to exercise privileges in USA?

They were told to Hold short of E and give way to traffic at KD...both are considerably further down from taxiway M where this occurred.
